Cathay Pacific's "The Wing" First Class Lounge Hong Kong

After clearing security in Hong Kong (they were screening every passenger's temperature due to the Coronavirus outbreak), I found my way to "The Wing."

Cathay Pacific operates four Business Class lounges and two First Class lounges in the Hong Kong airport, but due to the reduction of flights to mainland china and a dramatic drop in air travel, they opted to temporarily close about half of their lounges.

Upon entering the lounge, it was pretty clear as to why...even the lounges that remained open were pretty empty.

But that just meant more privacy...

And the bar all to myself.

In catering to First Class passengers, The Wing offers a full service dining option called "The Haven."

I started my meal out with a glass of Perrier Jouet champagne.

As a main course, I opted to try the "Omnipork," a plant based pork substitute, which was surprisingly realistic.

After I had finished my champagne, I capped off my meal with Cathay's exclusive beer, Betsy; brewed for optimal enjoyment at 35,000 feet.
