American Express Centurion Lounge Hong Kong

As an American Express Platinum Card holder, I'm always excited for the opportunity to use the lounge benefit at an airport with a Centurion Lounge.

I always find Centurion Lounges to be very welcoming, especially the living wall at the check-in desk.

This one in particular had some very cool Amex themed decorations.

The full buffet was set up for dinner with a mix of Asian and Western fare.

My favorite part of the Centurion Lounge is their bar.  This one in particular had a very nice offering including G.H.Mumm Rouge champagne.

But where the bar really shines is in the mixed drinks.  Before leaving for my flight, I tried the Gin Basil Collins...an excellent choice.

In addition to Centurion Lounges, Amex Platinum card holders can use Delta's Skyclubs while flying Delta in any class of service.  Unfortunately, this benefit is only for cardholders (guests will run $29 each).

Aside from lounge access, here are the most notable benefits of membership which offset the hefty annual fee of $550.
  • $200 in credits for incidental charges on the airline of your choice per calendar year.
  • $200 in Uber/Uber Eats credits ($15/month, $35 in December)
  • $100 credit to Saks Fifth Avenue ($50 every 6 months)
  • Reimbursed Global Entry ($100) or TSA Pre-check (included with Global Entry or $85 alone) every 5 years
