Compensation For Flight Delays/Cancellations, [Almost Free] Flight to Morocco
Thanks to a very generous regulation passed by the European Union in 2004 (Regulation 261), my trip to Morrocco became almost free when our flight home was delayed for more than four hours in Madrid. After several hours with very poor communication and no food vouchers, the plane finally boarded and while we made up some time in the air, we landed more than 4 hours late, which, according to the regulation for flights leaving the EU (regardless of nationality of carrier), entitled us to $600 in compensation from American Airlines.
